Another one resurrected from the grave! Again, I've finished off a picture I earlier rejected - maybe it's my form of spring cleaning.

Lara Croft, probably the most recognised female game character, a strange and once very pointy sex icon, and something I like in particular about her, I'm proud to say she's British. That last point is a bit of a weird one, but I do like my British game characters - probably the only British pride I have!

Anyway, as I'm sure you're all aware, Tomb Raider just isn't Tomb Raider if you don't enjoy killing Lara... Come on, we all know nothing beats hearing Lara scream as she falls off cliffs, or seeing what kind of shape she takes after falling in the spike pit. That's what computer games are for, it prevents us all from assassinating opulent ladies in reality.

The comic itself took some time and I initially abandoned it because of that wide central image... I'm still not huge on it, but it'll do for now. I took it back up because I had already spent quite some time on it (doing the backgrounds) and thought it would be a waste! I'm also quite partial to the top right shot of Lara, not sure why but I like it.

her pose in the spread panel is kinda weird, but the last panel is the best. :D

in tomb raider II, there was this part in the first stage when you need to jump off a waterfall/cliff and dive at the water to get a key. one time i failed to gauge my jump. imagine lara croft in a diving position, but hitting the rocks instead. XD

Haha! I like how it looks so intense as it leads up to the last panel. Very funny:thumbsup: I like the bg and colouring too.

Darn! Yeah, the middle one is obviously bad, but I just gave up with it in the end!

As for diving into rocks: one of my favourite past times!

Although what was said about that spread panel I'd have to agree with I still love the low of the piece. There aren't enough sequentials I see that take their time to show you how the character actually does something.
As always, great piece.

Crayola wolves!? Whatever next!

LOL....poor lara

One of my favorite things to do in TR was to dive from high places onto solid ground. There was just something appealing about breaking her neck that never got old. ;)

Inkscape, draw freely.

Another well expressed piece of digital work that has demonstrated many improvments towards your work and your excellent VG related humour. The art approach has worked well and has really given the piece that raw aroma of energy and adrenaline that is found in your work and espically in these situations. The collection of colour has really brought out the extensive skill you have in this field of work and sets the scen up nicely. The simple display of the background doesn't block out the attention of the foreground and the array of of lighting helps give it a much more gritty appeal.

The character model feels life like and captures the scene excellently. Although her face seems a little bland as you expect more energy to pour off her? It doesn't feel too strong to make us feel the effort being put into the leap.

However, this is only a small fraction of outstanding work and the simple addition of humour that we've all face with these games makes up for it.

Keep it up as you've shown a strong sign for this comics and video game adaptations.
