Anime cliches, I can't stand them. But this, I never expected! Cowboy Bebop is fantastic. It breaks away from the stereotypical anime, and is... just fantastic. Although hardly original (bounty hunters, trying to make money... and failing) Cowboy Bebop is a joy to watch. The characters are so imperfect, you love them for just that. The whole 'Space' element is hardly there, it's just a means of transport. It's just like an animated detective story [sic].

One thing that always stands out though, everyone will say it, is the music. A deadly fight scene will be accompanied with a light hearted jazz soundtrack, taking off the serious edge and making it so enjoyable! You don't have to like jazz to appreciate how it's used.

Enough praising of Cowboy Bebop, this here is Spike Spiegel, one of the main characters from the series. He's quite often seen with a bent out of shape cigarette hanging out his mouth, and for me that just summarises him. Bah, as much as I hate smoking, he makes it look cool.

On a technical note, I've employed a slightly different colouring technique this time around - probably visually no different, but it's much quicker for me. Huzzah! Glad to get more pictures out too.

One thing I did love about the series was that theme song, Tank! That was a good, heart-pounding tune that would always pump some blood to even the most depressed of people.

I believe that theme songs can be trademarks to any anime.
I always first judge an anime by it's opening theme. Then I sink into a bite of the plot and consume the living hell out of that certain series. Cowboy Bebop was no difference.

I mean, no other anime back then was about cowboys in SPACE!

Yes yes yes :) As soon as I heard the theme tune on the first episode I knew I was going to love Cowboy Bebop. The action and jazz just seem to work so well together, it's a fantastic series

I always loved Cowboy Bebop! And I personally thought that Spike should stop smoking the same cigarette for an entire series! :P

I really love your work. My personal favorite piece was about the Dreamcast. As much as I loved what the Dreamcast had to offer, (From Sonic Adventure to NiGHTS: Into Dreams to Jet Set Radio) I love your art!

Thanks, I'm really glad you like them! I hate to be picky, but NiGHTS didn't come out on the Dreamcast (I always wished they made a sequel for the DC...) - it was a Saturn game, and probably the best Saturn game at that :)

I knew there was something wrong with that first comment. Thank you for pointing out what I couldn't have. I guess I thought NiGHTS was so good that I forgot it was a Saturn game and mistook it for a Dreamcast game. Anyway, you're a good artist and thank you for pointing that out.

I've never heard of Cowboy Bebop but if it's an anime that probably explains it. I love the hand, I heard they're like kryptonite for artists, but yea it looks so good.

Yeah I'm not a massive anime fan, but Cowboy Bebop is quite different. Give it a chance if you happen to come across it one day, it's great fun!
