After randomly saying “Ooh la la” the other day (Yes, I did actually say it, and it was over something really mundane) I had to draw Ulala from Space Channel 5.

I used to draw loads of SC5 stuff but got embarrassed at the quantity of incredibly camp characters I was drawing, so I stopped. But that’s a stupid reason. Space Channel 5 is my guiltiest of guilty pleasures and never fails to make me smile. Actually, music games as a whole genre are my guilty pleasure. I also enjoy a good dog-rapping session.

Anyway, I wanted to draw Ulala’s great character in a more realistic style. So she’s still got her pinched face with the big eyes and tiny nose, but I feeling a bit more real I hope.

I dig it. Awesome job. The only issue here would be phase. Two microphones on the same source in a live setting is almost never a good thing.

Haha, funnily enough I only thought about that when I drew this one out as well. She always has both a microphone and a headset... why?!

In terms of critique, the only room for improvement is with her body here. The shoulders are too small, and there should be a bigger curves on her tetas.

Thanks - I did have to tweak the body as it was disproportionate to her head at one point, maybe it needed to be a tad bigger? As for her being bustier, Ulala's sexiness isn't in her breasts, but her overall slim figure.
